Description
The Post Office is a shop with living accommodation above, located on the corner of a road leading to a ford. It appears to date from the mid-19th century. The building features brick walls and a thatched roof, with gables above the first-floor windows. There is a brick chimney stack. The structure is two storeys tall, with a later addition of a single-storey brick lean-to at the rear, which has a corrugated asbestos roof. The entrance door is set in a timber porch with a tiled roof, positioned on the splayed corner. The door is part-glazed. There are two shop windows with glazing bars. On the first floor, there is one casement window with glazing bars, one fixed window above the door, and one canted bay window with a tiled roof.
