Description
The Old School and School House is a building that dates from the early 19th century. The Old Schoolroom features brick walls that are buttressed and a slate roof topped with a metal cowl at the ridge. It is a single-storey structure with five timber windows that have mullions and transoms, all fitted with diamond pattern cast iron lights. The School House, which is attached, has brick walls and a slate roof with brick stacks, and it stands two storeys tall. There is a brick porch with a slate roof that connects to the Schoolroom, along with a central doorway that has a flush panel door. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows, also with diamond pattern cast iron lights, and brick arches that feature stone keystones. The first floor has three similar windows. The front boundary is marked by a low brick wall with concrete posts and iron railings.
