Description
The Maintenance Department at Court Mills is an early 19th-century building, first noted on a map from 1841. It is constructed of red brick and features a pitched slate roof with coped gable ends supported by kneelers. The building stands two storeys high and has four ranges of mullion and transom casements with glazing bars, although some windows have been blocked. The entrance includes planked stable doors. On the end elevation, there is a range of later windows set within a semi-circular relieving arch that has an ashlar keystone. Additionally, there is an ashlar tablet with an illegible inscription and date, framed by headers arranged in a diamond pattern.
