68, West Street

No. 68 West Street is a building dating from the 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pitched slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with one range of Yorkshire casements that include glazing bars. There is a flat top attic dormer with a Yorkshire casement and glazing bars, and the cheeks are slate-hung. The entrance consists of a planked door set in deep reveals, topped by an oblong fanlight.

At the rear, there are two extensions; the first has a pitched pantile roof, while the second features a hipped slate roof with stone slates at the eaves. The first extension has two storeys and an attic, with one range of casements that have lead glazing bars, along with a hipped attic dormer also featuring lead glazing bars. The second extension has three storeys and two ranges of lead glazing bars on the first and second floors. Both extensions have red brick modillion eaves cornices and red brick stacks.
