Description

No 2 on St Michael's Lane is a building that likely dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a rubble back and features a pitched slate roof topped with a red brick stack. The building stands three storeys tall with attics. The attic at the north end has two casement windows, one of which has lead glazing bars. The east elevation displays two ranges of casement windows on the ground floor, also with lead glazing bars. There is one range of loading doors, but only one survives on the second floor, along with a winch hoist. No 2 and No 4 form a group with Nos 54 to 62 on West Street.
