Description
No. 6 Maltravers Street is a mid-18th century building constructed of red brick, with the east side featuring nodular flint and red brick dressings. It has a pitched tile roof and red brick chimneys. The building stands two storeys high with attics and includes a brick modillion eaves cornice. The south elevation has two ranges of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, while the west elevation has seven such windows. There is a modern door in plain reveals located in the middle of the south elevation, with one blocked window above it. In the attic storey, there is one casement window with glazing bars on both the east and west elevations, with the east window featuring lead glazing bars. No. 6 is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 10 (even) and Nos. 69 and 71 High Street, along with the raised pavements on the north side of Maltravers Street.
