No. 5 Maltravers Street is an early 19th-century building that was formerly a bakery. It is constructed of stucco and features a pitched slate roof. The building has two storeys. On the first floor, there are two segment-headed double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor includes one door set in a plain deep reveal and a canted bay shopfront with glazing bars supported on brackets.
