Description
Hedera Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century. It features stone rubble walls with brick details and has a later brick extension to the west. The cottage has a thatched roof and brick stacks, and it is one storey high with attics. The flush panel floor is located in a timber glazed porch with a slate roof. On the ground floor, there are four casement windows with cast iron lights, while the attic has four half-dormers with similar casements. Inside, the east room on the ground floor has a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and a chamfered ceiling beam. The west room features a deep chamfered ceiling beam, and the fireplace here appears to be a later addition. There is an attached single-storey outbuilding on the east side, which has cob walls and a thatched roof.
