Description
There are three headstones located 11 metres south of the west end of the nave of the Church of St Petroc in Padstow. The headstones date from 1757, 1779, and 1798. The first is for Janet, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Boyle, who died in 1779, and her brother Charles, who died in 1781. This is a rectangular slate headstone. The second headstone is for Joan Gliddon, who died in 1798, and is also a rectangular slate headstone. The third headstone commemorates William Helyar, who died in 1757, and Elizabeth Helyar, who died in 1786. The reverse of this headstone is inscribed in memory of Elizabeth Boyle, who died in 1827. All three headstones feature inscriptions in upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
