Description

Two headstones located 7.5 metres north of the nave of the Church of St Petroc in Padstow date from 1775 and 1785. The first headstone commemorates Effe Andrew, the daughter of William Andrew, a yeoman, and his wife Ann, who passed away in 1775. It also mentions Margary, another daughter of William and Ann, who died in 1741. This headstone is made of slate and features an engraved nowy-shaped panel. The second headstone, to the south, is for William Andrew, who likely died in 1785. It is also a rectangular slate headstone and includes a verse. Both headstones are inscribed with upper and lower case lettering that has serifs.
