Description

Richards Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 10 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Mewan. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a stepped nowy head and displays good lettering along with unusual verses: "The language of his mind was Oh that my words were now written oh That they were printed in a book...." It commemorates Samuel Richards, who passed away in 1811.
