Description

The Richards headstone, located approximately 26 metres south of the porch of the Church of Saint Sithney, dates from the late 18th century. It commemorates John Richards of Lannarth, who died in 1779 at the age of 78, and his wife Eleanor, who also died in 1779 at the age of 78. The headstone is an incised slate monolith featuring a canted head and trailing plant decoration that flanks the inscription.
