Description

Marsinney is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of roughly-coursed killas with dressed granite sills and lintels. The roof is hipped and covered with asbestos slate, featuring wide eaves and cast-iron ogee gutters. The building has a double depth rectangular plan, consisting of two rooms at the front with a cross passage that likely leads to a staircase situated between shallow rear service rooms. The left front room is wider, likely serving as the kitchen living room. There is a small 20th-century lean-to on the left, set back from the front. The house is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical two-window south front, with a doorway that is central to the fenestration but slightly grouped towards the right. The entrance features a 20th-century glazed door, while the windows are original 16-pane hornless sashes from the early to mid-19th century, all set in their original openings. The interior has not been inspected.
