Description
Bushmead is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from killas shale with granite quoins and features an asbestos slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, consisting of two rooms deep with a central passage and main reception rooms on either side. It stands two storeys high and has a panelled door with an overlight, which is set deeply into the wall. The windows are twenty-paned sashes, with the outer panes being narrower. The openings are adorned with granite voussoirs above flat lintels and raised keystones. There is a stair window at the rear of the house. A single-storey extension with a mono-pitch roof has been added to the living room at the back in the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
