Description
The Glebe is a 18th-century house located on Metha Road in Newlyn East. The building features an early structure made of colourwashed stone with a cob first floor. Its layout consists of three bays, with a central stair hall and flanking reception rooms, along with narrow service rooms at the rear that are under a continuation of the roof, following a linhay plan. To the left, there is a single-storey stone outbuilding with a hipped slate roof, which is accessed from the rear. To the right, there is a two-storey extension with one bay, and a small 20th-century extension is located centrally at the rear. The house is two storeys high and has a central glazed door, with windows that were renewed in the 20th century, all featuring painted brick segmental arches. There are brick stacks and two large 20th-century dormers at the rear.
