GV II

Mill, now farm building. Circa late C18 - early C19. Granite rubble walls with dressed granite quoins, jambstones and lintels. Asbestos slate roof, now with gable ends but originally half hipped. Irregular rectangular plan with the left hand wall at an angle to the front, so that the front is wider, and the wall projects at the left hand side of the front as an integral buttress. The millwheel was formerly carried beside this wall and there is a small later lean-to towards the rear. 2 storeys. Roughly symmeterical 2 window south-east front, the doorway right of middle with a window close at either side and 2 first floor windows widely spaced. All the openings are original, the window openings very small. There was another doorway cut towards the right but later blocked again with rubble. Interior : not inspected. An unusually small mill building with an interesting design and grouped very close to Vellenewson Farmhouse qv.
