Description

This milestone, located at SW 636308, is likely from the late 19th century. It is made of painted dressed granite and has a triangular-shaped vertical shaft that sits on a rectangular base. The two rectangular sides of the shaft follow the road's angle and rise from large pyramidal stops. Each side features incised lettering and Arabic numerals. The top of the milestone has a pyramidal head. The inscription on the left side reads "HELSTON 3 MILES," while the right side states "CAMBORNE 7 MILES."
