SITHNEY Boathouse at Trevarno Manor House

Boathouse. Circa 18705, for William Bickford-Smith. Painted timber frame with boarded infill panels. Slate gable-ended roof with ornate bargeboards to verges and eaves and crested ridge tiles. Rectangular 4-bay plan with open end and one side built onto raised rendered stone revetment. The other side, of four bays, has stop-chamfered timber posts and boarded panels between with cusped windows with diamond leaded panes with stained glass borders. Over the gabled open front a wooden bellcote with pairs of round arches and a slate and lead-clad 2-stage spire with an iron weathervane.
