Description

The boathouse, located northwest of Tescombe, was built around 1890. It features a weatherboarded timber frame and a clay plain tile roof with gabled ends, pierced ridge-tiles, and terracotta finials. The building has a long rectangular plan and is a single-storey structure with a loft, standing on masonry piers above the River Test. One end of the boathouse is open and showcases scissor-truss bargeboards with cusping at the apex. Behind the truss, there is a window, and above it, a wrought-iron weathervane is positioned. The interior has not been inspected.
