Description

BERRYNARBOR SS 54 NE 1/159 The Boat House, Watermouth Cove - - II Boat-house. Mid C19. Unrendered stone rubble with painted brick dressings. Concrete tiled roof with decorative carved gable-end bargeboards. Boxed eaves supported on shaped timber brackets. Diagonally set brick stack at rear right-hand corner with oversailing courses to the cupping and 4 bands of zig-zag coursing. Rectangular on plan, built gable end on to the seafront with wide entrance at front gable end. Single storey boathouse with sail loft over. Front gable end has small window with cambered arch over segmental pointed arched entrance with double sliding plank doors. 2 cambered arched window openings to each side with 8-paned top-hung casements. Double plank doors to sail loft at rear gable end. Interior: parquet flooring, winding gear and brick fireplace surround intact.
