Description

The drinking fountain, located at the junction with Mill Lane, was built in 1897. It is constructed from ashlar and has a square shape with a gablet capping. The front features a semi-circular lipped bowl below a trefoil-headed blind panel that bears the inscription: "June 22nd 1897. This Fountain was erected by Mrs Bassett in Commemoration of the 60th year of the Reign of Queen Victoria. She Wrought Her People Lasting Good" dated January 22nd 1901.
