Description

The pavilion, originally built as a stable block, dates from around 1740. It features Flemish bond brick construction on a granite ashlar plinth and has a hipped double span roof covered with Delabole slate. The building has a rectangular plan and is symmetrical with two stories and a five-window front. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, flanked by tall ground floor windows that contain 18-paned sashes. The first floor has nine-paned sashes, and all window openings are topped with shallow arches. An octagonal cupola, sheathed in lead, sits over the valley between the roofs. The interior has not been inspected.
