Description

The building is an 18th century or earlier farmhouse, with 19th century extensions and alterations. It is constructed of shale rubble and granite, with a scantle slate roof and brick gable chimneys. The farmhouse has a T-shaped plan. The front elevation, likely rebuilt in the 19th century, is a two-storey, three-window arrangement, with a two-window extension to the right. An off-centre door is situated above a window. A 20th century porch sits in front of the door, flanked by shallow brick arched openings. The windows are 16-pane sashes. The walls to the front and back were heightened, probably at the time of the extensions. An external gable breast is visible on the left gable end. Inside, there is a clom oven in an open hearth in the left-hand room, and several 18th century two-panel doors leading to the first floor.
