Description

This is a boundary stone located in Kea, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of undressed granite moorstone and has a roughly square shape. The stone features a deeply-incised Roman letter "R" with serifs on its north and west sides, and there is a drill hole at the top. These stones were once common and were used to mark the boundaries between mineral rights claims.
