Description

This is a road bridge over a stream that leads to Calenick Creek, built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from killas rubble, elvan, and dressed granite. The bridge features a double-span design with splayed abutments and a central pier that has cutwaters at both ends. It is supported by granite lintels and has mortar-coped rubble parapets. This bridge is a simple yet good example of a structure based on the clapper bridge principle.
