Description

This boundary stone, dating from the early 19th century, is made of undressed granite moorstone and has a rectangular shape. It features an eroded incised inscription on the east side, which includes the letters "VVI M" in a serif font. Once common, these stones were used to mark the boundaries between mineral rights claims.
