Description
There are two headstones located 3 to 4 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Ildierna. One headstone commemorates Anne, the wife of Thomas Peake, who died in 1774. It is made of slate and features a segmental arched head with upper and lower case serif lettering. The inscription includes a verse that reads, "Husband Farewell, Children Adieu Some time you must remain But still trust to meet all three With Christ in Heaven Again." The second headstone is in memory of Anne, the wife of Edward Soaday, who died in 1789. This headstone is rectangular and also made of slate, with upper and lower case serif lettering.
