Description

Lansallos Barton Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century. It is constructed of stone rubble, with the ground floor painted and the upper floor slate-hung. The roof is slate with gable ends and features a catslide over a rear outshut. There are stone rubble chimney stacks at both ends, with a brick shaft on the right-hand lower gable end and a projecting chimney stack on the higher left-hand gable end.

The farmhouse has a two-room plan with a central passage hall that contains the stairs. The larger room on the left serves as the kitchen hall, while the smaller room on the right is a heated parlour. Smaller service rooms were added later to the rear in the outshut. The building is two storeys high and has a regular three-window front. On the ground floor, there are two three-light casements with glazing bars flanking a stone rubble gabled porch to the right of centre, which has a 20th-century part-glazed door. The first floor features three two-light casements with glazing bars above the ground floor openings. The right-hand lower gable end has a window to the right of the fireplace on the ground floor.

Inside, the hall room on the left has fairly heavy chamfered ceiling beams, and there is a 20th-century chimney piece in the gable end. The upper floor has not been inspected.
