3/32 Lansallos Old Rectory

II Rectory, now private house. Possibly with C17 origins extended and remodelled in mid C19. Partly rendered stone rubble. Scantle slate roof with hipped ends to main range. Rear wing with gabled end with further extension in angle of rear wing and main range with hipped end. Projecting rendered chimney stacks with brick shafts in hipped ends. Rear wing with projecting chimney stack with brick shaft. C20 axial chimney stack on ridge of later projecting wing. Possibly 2 room and through passage plan, extended to rear with projecting gabled wing at lower end on left. Further extended to rear with wing in angle of main range. 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front. Ground floor with 2 C19 16-pane sashes flanking central rendered gabled porch with slate roof. 6-panelled door. Above, three 16-pane sashes above ground floor openings. Interior not inspected. An account of Lansallos parsonage is given in a collection of terriers for 1679-1680 in Cornwall County Record Office. They record a large hall 'out of which have laterly been taken two little convenient rooms, separated from the said hall only by boards, one termed the drink house and the other the bread house'.
