Description
There are two headstones located 8 to 10 meters south of the south porch of the Church of St Nonna in Pelynt. One headstone commemorates Elizabeth Pyne, who died in 1761, and is the daughter of Alexander and Margarett Pyne, as well as the sister of Margarett. This slate headstone features a triangular top and is decorated with an angel's head, an hourglass, and two hearts. The inscription is in lower case with serifs and includes the verse, "Dear parents weep not for us nor lament in vain For your greate loss is our Eternal gain." The second headstone is in memory of John Deeble from the parish and has a nowy head. Its inscription includes both upper and lower case lettering with serifs, along with a verse below.
