PELYNT CHURCHTOWN, Pelynt SX 25 NW 2/178 Headstones of Henry and Mary Hack - and Charles Hicks 8m to south of vestry of Church of St Nonna GV II

2 headstones. 1763 and 1784. In memory of Charles Hicks. Slate headstone with triangular head. Decorated with angel's head with wings. Inscription in lower case lettering with serifs. Verse below 'My Wife and Children dear now cease your tears for me If I am gone I am not lost Where Christ and Angels be'. Headstone directly to west, in memory of Henry and Mary, son and daughter of Joan Hack. Rectangular slate headstone decorated with 2 angels heads in roundels. Inscription in lower case lettering with serifs. Verse below 'Weep not, nor Lament no more in vain If you have Lost, we have Gain We hope to dwell with Christ above Where joys abound no tongues can tell'.
