Description
There are two reset headstones located 1 metre to the north of the nave and east of the north transept of the Church of St Julitta. The headstone for John Rowe, a butcher from Camelford, commemorates his death in 1786 and that of his wife Jane, who died in 1783. This slate headstone features a nowy-shaped head and is inscribed in upper and lower case lettering with serifs, decorated with angel's heads. The inscription reads: "In memory of our Parents dear This stone we have erected here In Christ alone we constant trust They'll rise in number of the Just." The second headstone is for Edward Secombe, who died in 1732. This rectangular slate headstone also has inscriptions in upper and lower case lettering with serifs and is adorned with an angel's head. Its verse states: "Farewell vain world, my friend ye same I'm gone to dust from whence I came."
