Description
This is a wellhouse, likely with medieval origins, dedicated to St Julitta. The original wellhouse was demolished in the 1850s, and its dressed stone was incorporated into an outbuilding at Jetwells. In 1891, Colonel S. Bake rebuilt the wellhouse on the original site, reusing some of the earlier stonework. The structure is built of slate rubble with a catacleuse stone arch. It is positioned into the bank overlooking a field spring. The lower front elevation features a two-centred catacleuse stone arch, which may have been reversed during reconstruction. The arch's jambs have been replaced, and the roof has collapsed. Inside is a rectangular sump.
