Description

A row of four cottages and an adjoining warehouse, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof, the end on the right being hipped. A section of the roof has been repaired with corrugated plastic.

The cottages are arranged in a double-depth, two-room plan, each heated by an axial stack, with the warehouse attached to the right end, creating an overall rectangular plan. The front of the building has a regular rhythm of four bays, with one bay per cottage. Each cottage has a 19th-century door on the right-hand side, with a two-light casement window to the left. The upper floors each have two casement windows. The casements in Nos. 16, 18, and 20 are original to the early 19th century, while the casement in No. 22 on the left is a later 19th-century replacement. The warehouse has a wide opening on the ground floor. The interior of the cottages has not been inspected.
