Description
Jasmin, Sea View, and Rose Cottage is a terrace of three cottages built around the mid-19th century. The cottages feature rubble walls and a grouted scantle slate hipped roof, with brick chimneys located over the cross wall towards the left and at the right-hand end. They have cast-iron ogee-section gutters.
The layout consists of three identical cottages, with the middle cottage (Sea View) being a mirror-image of the others. The right-hand cottage includes a one-room plan wing, which may have originally served as an office, set back on the right. Each cottage has a lobby entrance to one side and one room at the front.
The exterior is two storeys high, with a three-window south-west front representing the three cottages. The middle cottage has its doorway to the right of the windows, while the other two cottages have their doorways on the left. All cottages feature 20th-century doors. The left and middle cottages retain original 16-pane hornless sash windows, while the right cottage has later horned copies. The set-back wing on the right has a doorway at the front and two windows on its right-hand gable end, with the ground floor window being an original hornless sash that includes marginal panes and diagonally set glazing bars at the corners.
