Lodge, Front Garden Walls, Stile And Entrance Gateway At Road Entrance To Bosloe

The lodge at the road entrance to Bosloe was built around 1903. It features dressed killas stone at the front, with rubble elsewhere and granite dressings. The roof is made of scantle slate and has a hipped design with projecting eaves, while brick chimneys rise from the left-hand wall. The lodge has a double depth plan, consisting of two equally sized rooms at the front beneath the main roof, with a cross passage leading to service rooms and an integral rear lean-to.

The exterior is a single storey with a symmetrical west front that has two windows and a central doorway. The original four-panel door includes an overlight, and there are original 12-pane, three-light casement windows. The interior has not been inspected.

Low granite coped walls run parallel to the front of the lodge, featuring a central gateway with round-headed granite monolithic gate piers and terminal piers. Original cast-iron railings with trefoil panels and finials sit atop these walls. At each end of the walls, there are segmental-on-plan higher walls. The wall on the right is longer and includes a wide gateway with granite monolithic piers located midway. Additionally, there is a stile just to the right of the lodge walls.
