2 adjoining houses. Circa early C19. Painted rubble walls with granite dressings, some slate hanging at front and rear of No.2 (left). Scantle slate hipped roof over No 1 and asbestos slate hipped roof over No.2. Cast-iron ogee-section gutters. Plan: 2 similar sized 2-room plan houses. The left-hand house is adjoining the earlier No.3 Rose Cottage, qv which is at right angles in front of its left-hand side. Right-hand house has slightly deeper plan and has a through passage between the rooms. Stair is probably behind the left-hand room. No.1 is probably older. Exterior: 2 storeys. Overall 4-window south-west front with original symmetrical 3 window front with central doorway of No.1 on the right and 1 window front of No 2 on the left. No. 1 has C20 ledged door and original 16-pane hornless sashes. No. 2 has C20 ledged door and circa late C19 horned sashes. Interior: Not inspected.
