GV II

House. Circa late C18. Painted rubble and cob walls. Steep asbestos slate formerly thatched roof with brick chimney over the left-hand gable end. Plan: 2 room plan with larger room, originally the kitchen/living on the left from which is access to external stair turret at rear middle (built into the hillside) and parlour on the right. There is a small C20 adddition behind the parlour. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window south-east front with central doorway. C20 ledged door. Original 12-pane 2-light casements with original crown glass including some bull's-eye panes. Interior: Has most of its original carpentry and joinery including softwood plank and muntin partitions and moulded ceiling beams. The roof structure (not inspected) is said to be probably original. Stairs renewed in the C20.
