Description
Fila Rhosyn and Rose Cottage is a late 19th-century terrace of three cottages, with the outer two being single fronted and the central one double fronted. The left and central cottages are now combined and known as Fila Rhosyn, suggesting that the design was influenced by an estate.
The terrace is two stories high and features a four-window range built from local shaley uncoursed stone. It has a hipped roof covered with small random slates and tile ridges, along with two modern brick chimneys. The left chimney, which served both the left and central cottages, is wider than the right chimney. The windows and doorways have brick arches, and the timber windows still include some small-paned iron casements with stays. There are also two lightly constructed 20th-century porches and a modern brick extension at the center rear.
Inside, the house retains the two staircases from the original left and central cottages, located at the rear.
