Description
An L shaped group of buildings, consisting of a roadside north/south range and a lower east/west stables range.
At the south end of the roadside part is a two-storey unit on a raised level, the east wall of which, facing the road, retains timber framing, restored, with C19 brick infill. Apart from this, the unit and the adjacent unit are of local uncoursed shaley stone, with late roofs of different pitches. Small brickwork end-chimney. Restored front windows in the south and adjacent units. Restored fenestration at rear including a tall sash window. Steps and porch at the gable end. To the north of these units is an agricultural range, in plain stonework with some high level timber framing and boarding at rear. Door and loft hatch in the north gable end. Corrugated iron roof.
The stables wing extends to the west. Local uncoursed shaley stonework. The elevation facing the south is almost symmetrical, with four hatches now converted to windows (upvc), two roundels (walled up and rendered) and a diamond pattern ventilator above, a stable door remaining below plus another door and two windows walled up and rendered. Slate roof with rooflights at rear.
Not inspected.
