Description
Rose Cottage is a late 19th-century terrace of three cottages, with the outer two being single fronted and the central one double fronted. The left and central cottages are now combined and renamed Fila Rhosyn, suggesting that the design may have been influenced by an estate.
The terrace is two storeys high and features a four-window range constructed from local shaley uncoursed stonework. It has a hipped roof covered with small random slates and tile ridges, along with two modern brick mid-chimneys. The left chimney, which serves both the left and central cottages, is wider than the right chimney. The windows and door arches are made of brickwork, and the timber windows still have some small-paned iron casements with stays. There are also two lightly constructed 20th-century porches and a modern brick extension at the centre rear. The interior has not been seen.
