The Grotto, about 1/2 mile south east of Menabilly House at Polridmouth SX 15 SW 11/183 13.3.51.

2. Late C18 octagonal "folly". Built of rounded quartz bolders with joints snecked with sea shells. Inside walls lined with shells and crystals ores and polished stones but most of these have been removed. 2 blocked 4-centred arch openings. Small gable heads to each wall. Now roofless and in poor state.
