Description

There are two headstones located 1-2 metres to the north aisle of the Church of St Mabena. The headstone for Kelly, who died in 1741, is a large rectangular slate stone featuring a marginal inscription and a verse at the top of the central panel. To the north is the headstone of Margaret Bawden, who died in 1781, which is also a large rectangular slate stone. Both headstones are inscribed with upper and lower case lettering that includes serifs.
