Kerrowe Cottage, Adjoining Outbuildings and Front Garden Walls

Kerrowe Cottage is a small house with adjoining outbuildings and front garden walls, dating from the early 18th century and extended in the 19th century. It is constructed of painted granite rubble and features a scantle slate roof with dressed granite stacks over the original gable end, which now serves as party walls with later farm buildings that are part of the house.

The overall plan is L-shaped, consisting of a two-room layout with a wider kitchen on the left and a parlour on the right, separated by a lobby entrance. To the left, there is a shippon with a granary above it, and to the right, a cartshed with an integral stable. In front of the stable, there are the remains of another shippon. These outbuildings are now incorporated into the living accommodation of the house.

The exterior is two storeys high and features a slightly asymmetrical east front with two windows and a doorway located to the right of the center. The window openings are small, with those on the first floor grouped closer together. The former outbuilding on the left has a doorway on the right and a first-floor loading doorway in the middle, accessed by an external flight of stone steps. The cartshed on the right has a large doorway, while the shippon on the far right is roofless, with part of its front wall having fallen.

Inside, there is a 19th-century first floor and roof structure, along with an original large fireplace in the left room and a reused 18th-century two-panel door next to the fireplace. A high wall separates the courtyard of the left building from the garden of the house. On the right side of the garden, there is a wall with three pointed arched niches, possibly used for bee-boles. The front wall, which runs parallel to the house, is lower and features granite monolithic gate piers that align with the doorway of the house.
