8/85 Lime Kilns 120m north east - of Bramblecombe Cottage

Lime Kilns, disused, circa early C19. Rubble stone with large stone quoins and stone voussoirs to openings. Rectangular in plan, built into side of hill to facilitate top loading. Comprises square double kiln with round arched openings on south-west and north-east. Arches blocked to rear. Further extended on left (north-east) with third kiln in end wall on north-east. Half arched opening on front elevation to give access to second kiln. Situated to east of old quay on Penpoll Creek.
