Description
Lawhippet Farmhouse, built around 1840, is a two-storey farmhouse constructed of rubble stone with a hipped slate roof featuring wide eaves and rendered stacks at the hipped ends. The building has a double depth plan and a symmetrical three-window front. On the ground floor, there are two 20-pane sash windows under rubbed stone arches, flanking a late 19th-century gabled glazed porch that was altered in the 20th century, featuring margin glazing on a brick base. The entrance door is panelled and located within the porch. The first floor has three small 16-pane sashes without horns, also under rubbed stone arches. All sash boxes are set back but fully exposed. The property includes a front garden area wall made of stone rubble, with gate piers at the central gateway made from reused dressed stone and caps. The interior has not been inspected.
