FORRABURY AND FORRABURY SX 09 90 MINSTER

7/57 Tombchest of Humphrey Iew 9m to south east of Chancel of Church of St Symphorian GV II Tombchest 1718. In memory of Humphry Iew who died in 1718. Slate rubble chest and rectangular slate lid. Marginal inscription with verse in central rectangular panel. Inscribed in upper and lower case lettering with serifs. Verse:

Stay passenger, who ere thou be Let this my death admonish thee For strength and youth I was in prime and yet cut of in the midst of time (by accident) the boisterous sea I to my grave was sent that way & when death doth come to thee Even as I am so shalt thou be
