Description
The building is a schoolroom located immediately east of Trethewey Methodist Chapel, constructed in 1868 or soon after. It features a rendered or stuccoed front, while the rest is made of granite rubble with granite dressings. The roof is covered with grouted scantle slate and has gable ends, with a brick chimney situated over the rear gable end. The plan is a deep rectangular shape with four bays and includes a square porch at the front of the gable end. The exterior remains unaltered, showcasing what are likely the original four-pane horned sash windows, with four on each side wall. The south front gable has a cruciform ventilator in the gable oculus. The central porch contains a round-headed window and a ledged door that leads into the right-hand wall. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
