Description
The St Levan War Memorial is a granite cross built in 1921 and restored in the 21st century. It features a Celtic wheel cross that sits atop a tapering pedestal and base. The front face of the pedestal displays a metal plaque with white enamelled lettering that reads: "THESE MEN OF ST LEVAN/ WHOSE NAMES ARE HERE INSCRIBED/ GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR FREEDOM AND/ HONOUR IN THE TWO GREAT WORLD WARS/ 1914-18 1939-45/ 1914-18/(NAMES)/ 1939-45/ (NAMES)/ THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE." The memorial is positioned on a concrete base surrounded by low posts and metal railings.
