Description
No. 11 New Street is a town house built in the late 18th century. It features a façade of coursed granite with granite dressings and segmental brick arches. The roof is steep and covered with asbestos slate, and there are brick end stacks and cast-iron ogee gutters. The house has a shallow double-depth plan and consists of two storeys with a symmetrical three-window front. The windows are tripartite hornless sashes from 1952, and there is a central doorway with a pediment and reveals, which has a 20th-century door. The interior has not been inspected. This house is part of a well-regarded row of houses that step down the hill along New Street.
